When I moved to Mumbai early last year, I was keen to start learning who the hottest new beauty brands taking over India were. And none stood out to me more than MyGlamm Cosmetics. A completely home grown brand, MyGlamm has formulas that are made in Europe, but caters to Indian skin tones. I was intrigued and wanted to learn how the range operated.
Cut to: me sitting in their head office in downtown Mumbai, signing up to be one of their digital faces. After a whirlwind meeting in which I learned all about the range, the multi tasking nature of the products and formulas and the plans moving forward, I was so ready to represent the range and shades that MyGlamm has to offer. I especially love how this Indian brand isn’t white washing Indian skin tones and only catering to the light skinned market (as if it’s some kind of beauty ideal), instead they are leading the path to a more inclusive beauty standard with darker shade choices and even makeup for all genders! I’ve been thrilled to be included in this movement in India.
Becoming a Brand Ambassador
After some training on product knowledge and the opportunity to play with colours and textures of their existing range, I was excited to get into their studio and start shooting. I was lucky enough to usher in the launch of a brand new liquid matte lipstick range called Butterlicious- which, as the name suggest, fuses pigment with nourishing shea butter. I also got to be the face of their Jet Set eye liner collection and Perfect Curves nude lipstick range. Have a look below!
